carbon blade

Definition: A carbon blade is a racket that includes carbon fiber layers in between the wooden plies. Carbon fiber layers are believed to add more speed to the racket and increase the size of the sweet spot.

The carbon fiber layer is also supposed to strengthen the racket, and give the racket a stiffer, harder feel, suitable for hitting the ball faster.
