Definition: An arylate blade has layers of arylate fibers between the wooden plies of the blade. This is believed to increase the size of the blade’s sweet spot, and lessen the amount of vibration felt by the player when hitting the ball.
Adding arylate fiber layers is supposed to produce blades with a softer feel than pure wood or carbon/wood blades, and tend to be used by players who want more spin or better feel.
