Definition: Taraflex is a synthetic floor covering, which uses a 100% pure vinyl wear layer on top of a reinforced fiberglass and patented closed-cell foam backing. It is supposed to allow good grip while also providing shock absorption, reducing the stress on athletes’ joints from impact with the floor.
Taraflex is commonly used in many ITTF table tennis tournaments.
